Vechtsportautoriteit is looking for new auditors

The auditors of the VA visit martial arts events and martial arts gyms. Among other things, they look at quality and safety. We want to expand this team of around thirty volunteers. We especially encourage people from the north of the country to apply.

We are looking for independent martial arts enthusiasts with professional experience that can be put to use in this work. The current group includes staff of inspection services, sports entrepreneurs, safety experts, accountants and lawyers. They visit the martial arts gyms and martial arts galas in varying pairs.

Auditors assess events and gyms on the basis of fixed criteria. In technical terms: a validated assessment instrument. Through these visits we help the sector to bring quality up to standard and keep it there.

We want to expand our current team and are therefore looking for new, enthusiastic auditors. Because we would like to have more members in the north of the country, we explicitly encourage people in Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe to apply.

An auditor has the following qualities:

• Affinity with martial arts.
• Willing to study the rules for martial arts events and martial arts gyms in depth.
• Experience with inspection procedures.
• Able to avoid even the appearance of a conflict of interest.
• Has integrity, is honest and handles findings carefully.
• Analytical ability. Distinguishes essentials from side issues, facts from interpretations.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Discreet in handling confidential information.
• Not thrown off course by interested parties.
• Audits are carried out in pairs, cooperation is crucial.
• Happy to exchange experiences, reflects on feedback.
• Treats everyone in the sector equally.

A fixed expense allowance applies per audit. Audits take place on an on-call basis. The starting date of the work is to be agreed. You will be trained by experienced colleagues.
