Combat Sports Authority and NVB clarify agreements
The VA and the NVB have clarified the division of tasks between the regulator and the sports federation, as an addition to their existing covenant.

The Dutch Combat Sports Authority (Nederlandse Vechtsportautoriteit, or VA) is the independent regulator for kickboxing, Thai boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) in the Netherlands. We work in collaboration with combat sports organizations and governments.
The VA is supported by the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and is an associated member of NOC*NSF.

Researchers examined the role martial arts training can play in preventing and processing trauma, and recommend bringing the various applications together.
At the invitation of the Minister for Sport, VA director Farid Gamei discussed brain injury in sport with the minister and other federations.
During the six-monthly meeting of the VA audit team, auditors shared experiences and received training on handling challenging conversations.
