VA concludes agreement with the Instituut Sportrechtspraak

The Instituut Sportrechtspraak (ISR, the Netherlands Institute for Sports Adjudication) will handle all doping cases for the combat sports sector. The Nederlandse Vechtsportautoriteit (VA, the Dutch Combat Sports Authority) has reached agreement on this with this independent organisation.
The VA previously concluded an agreement with the Dopingautoriteit (the Dutch Doping Authority) on behalf of combat sports. The Dopingautoriteit carries out testing, while the assessment and sanctioning of possible violations is handled by the ISR.
To date, 73 sports organisations have joined this independent organisation. Prosecutors of the ISR have investigations carried out and assess reports of suspected violations. They will assess the reports and disputes submitted to them in an objective and independent manner.
This agreement contributes to better organisation of combat sports in the Netherlands. The cooperation is an important step in the professionalisation of our sector.
Anyone wishing to report transgressive behaviour in combat sports, for example relating to the use of doping, is encouraged to contact a confidential counsellor (vertrouwenscontactpersoon) for the combat sports sector, or the doping reporting point (Meldpunt Doping) of the Dopingautoriteit.
