Support for Amsterdam's top martial arts talents: apply now!

The City of Amsterdam (gemeente Amsterdam) runs a programme to support athletes from the capital in reaching the top. For the coming year there is room for three martial artists. Ambitious top talents can apply until the end of May.

Young top athletes from Amsterdam are given the opportunity to develop further on their way to an international elite sports stage. Within this programme they can make use of the existing elite sports facilities in the city. They also receive medical support from a sports physician or physiotherapist, guidance in strength training, nutrition plans and support in combining sport with education. The organisation Topsport Amsterdam has developed this elite sports programme and provides the support.

All athletes are selected in an independent manner. A selection committee has been set up for this purpose. The Nederlandse Vechtsportautoriteit (the Dutch Martial Arts Authority) has an advisory and supporting role in this process.
