Subsidy for construction and maintenance of sports facilities: also for your organisation?

1 min read

The subsidy scheme Stimulering bouw en onderhoud sportaccommodaties (BOSA, the Dutch scheme promoting the construction and maintenance of sports facilities) is intended to support amateur sport. Non-profit sports organisations can apply for a subsidy towards the construction and maintenance costs of sports facilities and the purchase of sports equipment.

Do you offer martial arts through a foundation or an association and do you hold a Keurmerk Vechtsportautoriteit (the quality mark of the Dutch Martial Arts Authority)? If so, you may be eligible for this subsidy.

In brief, a subsidy can be applied for towards the following costs:

– Costs for the construction and maintenance of a sports facility and for the purchase of sports equipment. These costs (including VAT) are eligible for a 20% subsidy.

– Activities aimed at energy saving, accessibility, circularity and climate adaptation are eligible for an additional 20% subsidy (40% in total).

You can find more information about this subsidy scheme on this page of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (ministerie van VWS).
