Sexual harassment and abuse in sport is unfortunately a current issue. We also ask for attention to this subject within the martial arts sector. We want to point all our followers to the Sports Confidential Support Point (Vertrouwenspunt Sport) of NOC*NSF, the Dutch Olympic Committee and Sports Confederation.

Victims of sexually transgressive behaviour, as well as martial arts clubs and gyms confronted with it, are advised to report it immediately or to seek advice from the confidential counsellor (vertrouwenscontactpersoon) of the club, gym or federation, or from the police. It is of course also possible to contact the Sports Confidential Support Point (Vertrouwenspunt Sport), anonymously if preferred. We call in particular on the martial arts federations and organisations to share this message with the martial arts clubs and gyms affiliated with them.
