Keurmerk already well known in the martial arts sector after three months

The Keurmerk Vechtsportautoriteit (quality mark of the Dutch Martial Arts Authority) has become a well-known concept among martial arts gym owners within a short period of time. No less than 85.3% takes a positive view of the introduction of quality control in the martial arts sector.

Three months after the launch, 94.7% of participants are familiar with the Keurmerk Vechtsportautoriteit. The VA is very pleased with this level of name recognition so shortly after the introduction.

The fact that the quality label is rated so well is also a satisfying result. With a negative assessment of 1.3%, resistance is marginal.

In the first three months, almost 100 martial arts gyms applied for the Keurmerk Vechtsportautoriteit. Around eighty gyms have actually been awarded the quality mark. The other gyms are still in the application process.

The new figures on support for the Keurmerk come from a study commissioned by the VA and carried out by Sam Soede of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool van Amsterdam), in which 135 martial arts gyms took part.
