Doping Authority education now part of CIOS and ROC curriculum

1 min read

Students of ROC Amsterdam (regional vocational training centre) and of the Centraal Instituut Opleiding Sportleiders (CIOS, central institute for the training of sports instructors) in Haarlem who take the SKMO combat sports module will now also follow a module of the Dopingautoriteit (the Dutch Doping Authority).

The e-learning of the Dopingautoriteit is freely accessible to everyone involved in combat sports. These are short online courses on doping and doping controls. They are aimed at athletes of all levels and at trainers and coaches, but also at parents, officials and sports administrators. The modules are free of charge. On completion, participants receive a certificate.

The VA (Nederlandse Vechtsportautoriteit, the Dutch combat sports authority) strongly encourages participation. As of recently, every competitive fighter may be tested for doping use.
