Over 250 Dopingautoriteit certificates issued in martial arts

1 min read

More and more martial artists, coaches and parents of martial artists are completing the e-learning course of the Dopingautoriteit (Doping Authority Netherlands). The organisation has now issued more than 250 certificates. The online course can be taken free of charge.

Doping controls are going to be carried out in martial arts. All competitive fighters may be tested. The doping control officers arrive unannounced. That may be at a world title fight in GelreDome, but also at club championships. It is therefore important that everyone knows exactly what doping is, how controls work and what your rights and obligations are.

For this purpose, the Dopingautoriteit has developed an e-learning course. This is a short course on their website. You are shown videos about doping and doping control. After that, you have to answer a number of questions. On completion you receive an official certificate. Participation is free of charge. The VA strongly encourages everyone to take this short course.

We ask gym owners to draw their athletes' attention to the e-learning course, for example via social media, WhatsApp groups or a newsletter.

An in-person information session by the Dopingautoriteit will also take place shortly. At Hotel Breukelen on 14 December at 19:30 you can find out everything about doping and the upcoming controls. Admission is free. Register via info@vechtsportautoriteit.nl
