Vacancy: intern at the Nederlandse Vechtsportautoriteit (higher professional education/university level)

The Nederlandse Vechtsportautoriteit (the Dutch martial arts authority) is looking for an enthusiastic intern (f/m) for a work placement combined with a research assignment. You will make an important contribution to the work of the Nederlandse Vechtsportautoriteit.
What do we offer?
We are a compact organisation, responsible for the supervision of kickboxing, Thai boxing and mixed martial arts (MMA) in the Netherlands. You will have the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of (martial arts) sports organisations, from the gym around the corner to international promotions. You will also get to know sports umbrella organisations and municipal government. We can introduce you and provide guidance. Together we determine the content and scope of your research. The internship runs from September 2025 to January/February 2026, three to four days a week. The exact duration and scope can be agreed in consultation.
What do we ask of you?
Interest and enthusiasm. You should enjoy doing research, and it helps if you write quickly and well. Because we are a small organisation, almost everyone is involved in everything. That means you can get help from everyone, but that you will also regularly help colleagues. Think of organising meetings, attending conferences or writing up records of conversations. Most training sessions and events take place in the evening or at the weekend, so you will understand that you will occasionally have to work in the evening or at the weekend.
Above all, you must be eager to learn. We expect a curious, open attitude from you. Affinity with (martial arts) sport is a requirement. The level is the final phase of higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO), in relevant fields such as Sport, Management & Entrepreneurship, Sports Marketing, Human Movement Sciences, Social Sciences, or Marketing and Communication.
