City of Amsterdam named 'Vriend van de Nederlandse Vechtsportautoriteit' (Friend of the Dutch Martial Arts Authority)

On Saturday 29 September 2018, the acting alderman for Sport of the City of Amsterdam, Laurens Ivens, received the ‘Vriend van de Nederlandse Vechtsportautoriteit’ (Friend of the Dutch Martial Arts Authority) plaque from Onno van Veldhuizen, chair of the Supervisory Board (Raad van Toezicht) and mayor of Enschede. With this, the VA expresses its appreciation for the cooperation in developing the VA. For example, the VA has its office at the City of Amsterdam, while our field of work of course extends across the whole of the Netherlands. We are grateful for this hospitality. In addition, Amsterdam makes expertise available for our advisory committees, which we greatly value. All help and support, including from other municipalities, federations and other professionals, is of course welcome.
