First group of experienced trainers passes kickboxing instructor level 3

1 min read

Since February, the Stichting Kickboks- en Mixed Martial Arts Opleidingen (SKMO, foundation for kickboxing and mixed martial arts training courses) has been offering an accelerated level 3 trainer course for experienced trainers. The first group passed the exam this week.

To obtain the Keurmerk Vechtsportautoriteit (quality mark of the Dutch Martial Arts Authority), a martial arts gym must have at least one qualified trainer. Many trainers entered the profession through their own sporting career and never obtained a qualification. For trainers with demonstrable extensive experience, the SKMO has developed an accelerated course that meets the standards of the Dutch sports qualification structure (Kwalificatie Structuur Sport). The first group of trainers to complete this course received their certificates this week.

The accelerated learning programme can be requested from the SKMO.
