Incident in Westervoort under investigation

The VA (Nederlandse Vechtsportautoriteit, the Dutch combat sports regulator) has taken note of incidents that occurred during a combat sports event in Westervoort. The events are currently under investigation.

During a combat sports event at a gym in Westervoort on 7 October, unrest arose on several occasions outside the ring. The situation was so tense that the organiser decided to end the bouts early. Footage of the incidents appeared on social media. The VA has also received reports from those involved.

The VA is investigating the incident with the intention of submitting the events to the disciplinary committee (tuchtcommissie).
