Audit team shares experiences and looks ahead

Learning from one another was the main reason the members of the Audit Team of the Nederlandse Vechtsportautoriteit (Dutch Martial Arts Authority) met on Saturday. But of course there was laughter too. After all, people also do this volunteer work to combine business with pleasure.
Over the past six months, the thirty-five members of the Audit Team visited almost fifty martial arts events and gyms. In doing so, they spoke with dozens of gym owners, promoters, trainers and coaches, fighters, security staff, municipal officials and visitors.
On Saturday they came together to discuss everything they had seen, heard and experienced. The basic attitude at this meeting was the same as the one they bring to their visits to martial arts gyms and events: what can still be improved? The ambition is always to raise quality a little further. That applies to their own audit process as well.
As tradition dictates, the substantive part of the day was followed by a training session and a dinner.
