The recently established Dutch Martial Arts Association (NVB) will soon take over a number of tasks from the Dutch Martial Arts Authority (VA). This will eventually also include the management of the Fightpassport system. The Fightpassport includes the VA number. This is the identity of the fighter within the system. Fighters need this to be able to participate in competitions in the Netherlands.
Anyone who wants to compete in competitions in the Netherlands must convert their VA number into a competition license from the NVB.
A competition license costs 15 euros and is valid for one calendar year. In addition, you will never have to pay for competition booklets or contributions from other associations, on which you often spent tens of euros per year as a competitive fighter.
